Even faster fault location and better operational reliability
Safegrid’s Intelligent Grid System helps Sallila detect network faults faster and react to them even more efficiently than before. Real-time alarms and accurate fault location enable fast and efficient action, which improves network reliability and minimizes downtime for customers.
Sallila Sähkönsiirto will deploy GrayFox™ sensor units for cable network monitoring, which will communicate wirelessly with the cloud-based GridGuardian™ back-end system.
Matti Hällfors, Development Manager at Sallila, says: “The main goal of Sallila is to maximize the reliability of our distribution network. Safegrid’s system helps us to improve operational reliability and serve our customers even better. In the future, the system will also provide us with additional information about the status of the network, enabling, e.g., preventive maintenance of network assets, which reduces the number of faults, prolongs the life of the equipment, and lowers costs.”
