Telemark Nett AS is the first DSO in Norway to locate faults with Safegrid’s Intelligent Grid System®. The recently deployed Safegrid system proved highly effective when a sudden fault occurred in a monitored section of the distribution grid. The system accurately pinpointed the location of the fault, enabling immediate dispatch of crew to the site for fault repairs. The accurate fault locating capability is especially promising for the challenging winter season, with heavy snowfall and cold temperatures, as typical in Norway.
