The Energy Innovation Summit 2023 exhibition took place in Liverpool and is the premier knowledge-sharing event in the UK for electricity operators and innovators. This was Safegrid’s first time attending the event and it was impressive to see the level of interest and engagement among UK network operators. Joined by our new UK distributor, Redskye Technology Ltd., it was a superb opportunity to meet and understand the needs of Distribution Network Operators across England, Wales and Scotland.
The UK Power Grid Ecosystem is a Dynamic Innovation Environment
Distribution Network Operators are taking a proactive role along with the technology sector to trial, evaluate and deploy new technologies to ensure continuity of service, including advanced sensors, cloud computing and AI. Meanwhile, UK regulatory bodies are actively fostering and accelerating innovation through vehicles such as the Strategic Innovation Fund (SIF), and others. Safegrid is delighted to collaborate with local UK network operators to build a more resilient power grid through fault location, prediction and prevention.
