CTCE 2023 Key Takeaways

Cooperative Technologies Conference & Expo (CTCE) 2023 was held on August 8 – 11, 2023 at Embassy Suites in Myrtle Beach, SC. The four-day CTCE conference 2023 offered informative sessions, networking opportunities, an interactive exhibit hall and much more.

CTCE was a great chance for us to meet existing and new clients in addition to other leaders of our industry. Following our discussions, it’s evident that the cooperatives are dedicated to enhancing member services and ready to take tangible steps to improve the grid. And we are happy to take on those tasks.

We had our own booth right next to our local representative in the USA, Jake Rudisill Associates.

Our sessions at the conference

We had a session together with our client Randolph EMC. The session was held by Jacob Barlow from Randolph EMC and Klaus Ola from Safegrid.

Randolph EMC has piloted Safegrid Intelligent Grid SystemsTM for the purpose of locating faults on the transmission lines and main distribution circuits. Our session provided an overview of available technologies for transmission and distribution with a particular focus on the latest generation of smart, wireless, transient based fault location system capable of 300ft resolution.

Additionally, our presentation covered deployment strategies, potential savings on outage minutes, crew labor, and integration into mobile dispatch platforms and SCADA.

CTCE 2023 Was a great success! We will be back

We don’t have the exact dates yet for the next CTCE but we expect it to be around the same time in 2024. Next year it will be organized in the Wilmington Conference Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. We look forward to joining again.

We will update our events schedule once details are confirmed and then you can read more about what we have planned for the CTCE 2024.
