The school provides a forum for electric utility personnel from IOU’s, Cooperatives, and Electric Municipals to discuss utility practices, procedures, new technologies, and common issues with peers and representatives from industry.
Safegrid participates in the Southeastern Distribution Apparatus School and Conference, taking place August 17–20, 2026, in Auburn, Alabama. Organized by the Utility Technology Association, this annual event brings together electric utility managers, engineers, technicians, and industry experts to explore the latest developments in distribution system apparatus, SCADA, operational technology, grid modernization, and emerging utility technologies. The conference provides a valuable forum for sharing best practices, discussing industry challenges, and learning about innovative solutions that improve grid reliability and operational performance.
We are pleased to share that Safegrid has been selected to present “Next generation technology for fault detection and fault prediction” at this year’s event. During our session, we will discuss how electric utilities can move beyond traditional fault response methods by leveraging real-time monitoring and predictive grid intelligence to identify developing network issues before they lead to outages.
